The City of Austin’s Public Works Department sets the standard for connecting people with safe and reliable infrastructure.

Our diverse workforce of more than 700 employees supports dozens of programs and manages hundreds of projects.

Whether it's repaving streets, building new facilities like the new Montopolis Recreation and Community Center and the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport terminal expansion, or constructing urban trails and sidewalks in our neighborhoods, we build and maintain a better community by delivering services to every corner of Austin.
